47 players took advantage of another great opportunity for warm-winter golf at Beaver Creek. Todd Parks went against the odds and selected a threesome. It paid off as they won the Total (-1). Charlie Hawkins team won the Front (-4), and Ira Pearlman’s team won the Back (-2).
Larry Gibson has worked his way to being a last pick, but he feels his captain’s are not pulling their weight for the team to be successful.
Todd Parks (39-33-72) led the Individual Low Scoring. Ken Winfield and Scott Raley shot 75. Only 8 players could break 80 in a day of soft turf and extremely difficult greens.

Because of the winter “dormant” grass, the greens are letting the golf ball roll according to subtle indentations, instead of grass holding the ball on line. This is indicated by the low number of players breaking the 80 mark. Many players came off the course babbling incoherently.
