Ambrose gets Hole-In-One!

Larry Ambrose collected a “hole-in-one” on Hole #3,  during Freaky Friday, August 20. It was witnessed by Tim Steiner, Don Banks, and “Mr. Nice” (Emit Burkett), who all bogied the hole. The team only picked up 1 shot.

It was a great finish to the 27th WACO. Chris Baloga birdies #17 and a 2-putt par wrapped up the Championship. He finished at 5-under par…139. Jim Marovitz finished one shot behind for second place. Three players (-1) tied for third place…Alex Hoffman, Chuck Thatcher, and Keegan Boone.

Adam Yost posted a 16-shot win over Greg Bishop in the 2010 Kitchen Open of former kitchen employees. Adam Yost shot 75 while Greg Bishop shot 91. The match was halted after 15 holes, due to a reported “grease fire”. Yost played high school golf at North Hagerstown. Bishop picked up his game at “parts unknown”.

“Senior” Dirk qualifies for Sectional Long Drive.

Dirk Schultz qualified for the Senior Sectional Long Drive Contest at Berlin, Maryland. He drove it 335 yards. It had enough force to knock down the Berlin Wall. It landed in “Daubach” territory. The Sectional Qualifier will be held at Pittsburgh. Dirk will try to knock down the “Steel Curtain”.

Jeff Flory aced the Par 3, Hole #8, hitting a 9-iron for the shot. It was his second career “Hole-in-One”. Playing partners were Cory Sholter, Wayne McCall and Larry Lowman. Larry said, “He really smoked that one!”
